To catalyze welfare, rehabilitation, and empowerment through education, awareness, advocacy, and capacity‑building in collaboration with government, private, and civil society partners.
Objectives of the Organization
- Collaborate with organizations and individuals working for persons with disabilities in the district.
- Uplift and support blind individuals across Satara district.
- Implement blindness prevention and promote scientific research and treatment.
- Facilitate academic and vocational education opportunities.
- Enable rehabilitation through employment, healthcare, and post‑illness recovery.
- Connect with public and private institutions for jobs and entrepreneurship.
- Train social workers and volunteers to work effectively with the blind.
- Maintain a library of Braille, audio, and accessible educational content.
- Support researchers undertaking studies on blindness.
- Assist families dependent on a blind individual.
- Raise public awareness via lectures, exhibitions, seminars, and conferences.
- Run complementary programs aligned to our goals.
- Publish a magazine on blindness and disability issues.
